The North Dakota State women's golf team heads down to Manhattan, Kansas for their second-to-last tournament for the fall at the Powercat Invitational. Hosted by Kansas State, the Powercat will be held at Colbert Hills Golf Club on October 20-21.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The Powercat is a 54-hole tournament played across two days. Rounds one and two will be played on Monday from tees that yield a yardage of 6,446. Round 3 will be played on Tuesday from tees with a yardage of 6,342. Both days will begin with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m. CT.

TOURNAMENT FIELD
The 2025 Powercat Invitational will host 16 teams and 88 total players. Joining the Bison, the tournament field includes Bethune-Cookman, Bowling Green, Bradley, Incarnate Word, Lindenwood, North Dakota, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Tarleton State, and Wichita State.
THE COURSE
Originally opened in May of 2000, Colbert Hills Golf Club has served as the proud home of the Kansas State men's and women's golf programs. Named after Kansas State alum and eight-time PGA Tour winner Jim Colbert, the public course is regarded as one of the top 10 best courses in Kansas by Golf Digest. Logging a yardage of 7,513 from the back tees, Colbert Hills has a difficult layout with intricate hazards that require strategic gameplay by golfers of all skill levels. In addition to its calculated design, Colbert Hills is proud to be Audubon Silver Signature certified and acts as a teaching and research facility for the Kansas State turf management program. Colbert Hills has hosted tournaments for all skill levels, and notably was the host of the 2002 Women's Big 12 Championship, the 2003 NCAA Men's Central Regional, and the 2005 Kansas Men's Amateur Championship.
BISON AT POWERCAT
NDSU will compete at the Powercat Invitational for the first time in 2025. This will be the third time that Kansas State has hosted this event.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bison finished mid-pack in 7th of 16 teams at the Diane Thomason Invitational at the end of September. Senior
Madi Hicks was the highest placing NDSU golfer of the event, finishing just outside of the top 15 in 16th place.
BISON COMPETING
NDSU will bring six golfers down to Kansas for the 2025 Powercat Invitational. The Bison competing will be

Madi Hicks will make her 35th consecutive start for the Women's golf team. Hicks was the highest placing Bison at the Diane Thomason Invitational, finishing in 16th at +12 overall.

Cora Larson was the only NDSU golfer to record a round at par at the Diane Thomason Invitational, and is tied for her career high of two rounds at/below par through eight rounds this season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the Powercat Invitational, the NDSU women's golf team will wrap up their fall season in Nevada at the Clash at Boulder Creek. Hosted by Northern Arizona, the tournament will take place at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada on October 27-28.
