Record-Setting NDSU Giving Day Highlights Strength of Bison Nation

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students came together in a powerful show of support during the 10th annual NDSU Giving Day held October 14-15, 2025. Over the two-day event, 1,728 donors made 2,085 gifts totaling $2,917,170 and surpassing both fundraising and participation goals.

NDSU Athletics played a major role in this historic achievement raising $490,154 from 738 donors. Gifts supported the general Green and Gold Fund, sport-specific Green and Gold Funds for each of NDSU's 12 athletic programs, as well as initiatives such as the Mental Health and Wellness Fund, and the NDSU cheer and dance teams.

"Once again, Bison Nation answered the call to support our student-athletes," said Matt Larsen, NDSU director of athletics. "A record Giving Day, in both number of donors and total dollars raised, all in support of the Green and Gold Fund and institutional NIL. We are sincerely grateful for this investment in our current and future success."

NDSU Athletics also received a major boost from The Kind Energy Foundation, founded by former NDSU football student-athlete Billy Turner, which pledged a $40,000 gift to the Green and Gold Fund.

This year's Giving Day not only broke records but also demonstrated the unwavering commitment of Bison supporters to advancing opportunities for NDSU's student-athletes, enhancing their experiences both in competition and in the classroom.
