TULSA, Okla. – North Dakota State soccer fell in the regular season finale to Oral Roberts 1-0 after the match was delayed due to lightning and weather that moved into the area late during the game at Case Soccer Complex.
Morgan Russmann nearly put the Bison in front in the 25
th minute, as she challenged a cross with ORU goalkeeper Jessica Reiss and had her header hit off of the right post before being cleared away.
The Golden Eagles then took the lead in the 35
th minute, as Precious Edosa headed a free kick past
Payton Mulberry, who got a piece of the shot but not enough to keep it out of the goal.
Chloe Birch and
Tyreese Zacher each had shots on target in the second half, but NDSU was unable to find an equalizer before a weather delay stopped play in the 81
st minute. After the restart, neither team had a shot.
With the loss in the regular season finale, NDSU's season comes to a close, as the Bison finish the season at 5-12-1.
