FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's basketball head coach
Jory Collins has announced the addition of Georgia Ell on signing day.
"Georgia is going to bring great size and athleticism to our team," said Collins. "She is a physical player who can really run the floor. She is already very skilled and will only improve as she gets into our training. Georgia has some really good international experience and enrolling at semester this year will only speed up her process. She fits our team culturally as well and comes with a great family."
Ell played at Loreto Kirribilli High School in Kirribilli, Australia. The 6-3 forward played in the state development program in Australia from 2019-24 and was named the Norths basketball U16 Defensive Player of the Year. The Sydney, Australia native also played soccer and participated in swimming.
Ell will join the Bison in January as an early enrollee and will be the second Australian on the team, joining sophomore
Amelia Hobson.
NDSU will be back in action on Sunday against Nebraska in Sioux Falls, S.D. Tip-off is set for 12:00 p.m., at the Sanford Pentagon.
