FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State Men's Golf team is back in action this week, as the Bison get set to take on North Dakota in a two-day dual, playing at Fargo Country Club on Wednesday, October 1 and at Grand Forks Country Club on Thursday, October 2.
Dual Schedule
The event will get underway at 10 a.m. both days, with tee time starts for each group every 10 minutes. Each day is scheduled for 18 holes in a tournament scoring format.

The Courses
The two-day dual begins at Fargo Country Club, which is nestled along the banks of the Red River. The course was established in 1898 and features a par-72, 6,966-yard championship 18-hole course that combines classic design with modern playability, offering tree-lined fairways, rolling greens and a picturesque setting.
Day two will be held at the Grand Forks Country Club, which lies just south of the city and is a championship 18-hole layout that commands respect with its classic character and modern sophistication. The course plays to a par of 72 and stretches out to 6,854 yards.
Last Time Out
NDSU is coming into the dual against the Fighting Hawks after its first defeat of the season. The Bison opened the year with back-to-back wins before taking a fourth-place finish at the Zach Johnson Invitational last week.
Jake Skarperud led the way for NDSU, finishing second, while
Rylin Petry and
Andrew Ballou also recorded top-15 finishes.

Rylin Petry leads the Bison with a 71.22 scoring average so far this season through nine rounds. Petry has five rounds of par or better and claimed his first collegiate victory in the season opener at the Metropolis Intercollegiate, subsequently being named the Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week.

Jake Skarperud has finished as the top Bison golfer at the last two events, finishing tied with
Carter White for third at the Bluejay Invitational in NDSU's second tournament, before taking a runner-up finish last week at the Zach Johnson Invitational. Skarperud has six rounds of par or better to lead the Bison and is second behind Petry with a 71.67 scoring average.

Carter White joined Skarperud as the Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week after the Bluejay Invitational, when he posted a career-best third place finish. White is third on the Bison with a 72.78 scoring average. The freshman also has the best round of the season so far for NDSU, posting a 67 in the second round of the Bluejay.

Andrew Ballou is fourth for the Bison in scoring average, posting a 72.83 over six rounds and two tournaments this season. Ballou has recorded finishes of 17
th and 12
th in his first two collegiate tournaments, with the freshman posting an .807 win percentage.
Looking Ahead
Following the dual with North Dakota, the Bison will head to the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. THe tournament will be hosted Oct. 9-11 in Stockton, Calif. at The Reserve At Spanos Park.
