OMAHA, Neb. – Five players reached double digits in scoring as the North Dakota State women's basketball team cruised past Omaha, 102-51, for its 20th straight win on Saturday afternoon at Baxter Arena.
With the win, the Bison improve to 22-2 (11-0 Summit) on the season and extended their win streak to 20 games, which is the second-longest active streak in the nation behind UConn (41). NDSU also stayed unbeaten in road games with a 10-0 mark. Omaha drops to 3-23 (1-10 Summit) with the loss.
The Bison reached the 100-point scoring plateau for the first time since posting a 107-80 win at North Dakota in 2024. NDSU, who has scored 90 or more points in three of its last four games, shot 62.3 percent (38-61) from the field and 85.7 percent (18-21) from the free throw line. The Bison bench scored a season-high 41 points with 11 different players reaching the scoring column.
Avery Koenen led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Abby Krzewinski also posted 16 points on 6-of-6 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Karrington Asp contributed 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting from field to go along with seven rebounds.
Jocelyn Schiller tallied 12 points with three rebounds and
Abby Graham netted 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three.
The Bison got off a fast start opening up a double-digit lead within the first four minutes after back-to-back layups from Koenen and Schiller to make the score 13-2 at the 6:41 mark of the first frame. NDSU, who never trailed in the contest, held a double figure lead the rest of the way to secure the 102-51 win.
NDSU will be idle until next Sunday, Feb. 15 at North Dakota. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
