2007-08 SEASON
Cross Country: Redshirt.
Indoor (Junior): Finished third in the 3,000 at the Summit League Championships with a time of 8:36.74...Finished second in 5,000 at Summit League Championships in 14:49.49...Posted a time of 14:45.16 at the Iowa State Classic in the 5,000, which is good for tenth on the all-time performance charts.
Outdoor (Junior): Placed third in the 5,000 and second in the steeplechase at the Summit League Championships...Time of 9:17.07 in the steeplechase at the Duke Invitational put him seventh on the all-time performance list.
2006-07 SEASON
Cross Country (Junior): Competed in all seven meets for the Bison... Finished in second place behind teammate Greg Liebl in the Bison Invitational and Midwest Collegiate Open... Placed seventh at the Division I independent championships, helping the Bison finish second... Finished ninth at both the Iowa State Open and South Dakota State Classic, where he ran a season-best 25:24.90 (8k).
Indoor (Sophomore): Finished second in the mile in both the Bison Open and the Dakota Duals... Ran a personal best of 4:19.53 in the mile in Nebraska.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Placed second in the 5,000 run and fourth in the steeplechase at the Division I Independent Championships... Ran a personal best in the 5,000 at the Oregon Invite of 15:01.12.
2005-06 SEASON
Cross Country (Sophomore): Moved into the No. 1 runner position for the Bison most of the season... Had four top 10 finishes in six races... Placed third with a 26:38.60 at the Dragon Open in the first event of the season...Squeezed under 26 minutes at the South Dakota State Invitational with a 25:58.2 for eighth place... Finished second on the team and fourth overall with a season-best 25:12.90 at the Division I independent championships in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Indoor (Freshman): Opened his NDSU track career with an 8:35.09 in the 3,000 at the University of Washington... At Nebraska, raced to a 4:20.24 in the mile for a seasonal best.
Outdoor (Freshman): At the University of Miami, ran a 3:59.20 in the 1,500 in his first outdoor race... Focused on the 5,000, hitting a 15:23.33 for a 10th-place result at the Howard Wood Relays.
2004-05 SEASON
Cross Country (Freshman): Ran as NDSU’s No. 4 runner in five of the six races during the season... Raced to a 26:35 at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in Chicago... Placed 13th as the Bison finished second overall at the Division I independent championships.
Indoor: Redshirt.
Outdoor: Redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Mandan High School in 2004... Indoor state champion in the 3,000 and runner-up at the state cross country meet in the fall of 2003... All-state on the track in both the 1,600 and the 3,200... MVP in cross country four consecutive years.
PERSONAL: Son of Myra and Steve Schanandore...Family includes one older and one younger brother, Tom, who also runs track at NDSU... Majoring in zoology and anthropology.
