Indoor (Junior): Competed in the triple jump...Notched a personal-best mark of 47-5 ¾ in a fourth place finish at the Summit League Championships...Finished in the top five in all five meets he competed in.
Outdoor (Junior): Competed in the triple jump in two meets...Placed fifth at the Summit League Championships with a leap of 47-7.
2008-09 SEASON
Indoor (Sophomore): Primarily competed in the triple jump...Posted a personal best mark of 46-9 in a first place effort at the Dakota Duals...Finished sixth in the event at the Summit League Championships.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Tallied two top-three finishes in the triple jump...Placed fourth in the event at the Summit League Championships with a personal best mark of 48-2.
2007-08 SEASON
Indoor (Freshman): Came in sixth in the long jump at the Cobber Duals with a mark of 21-0.
Outdoor (Freshman): Did not compete in any events.
2006-07 SEASON: Redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Triple jump specialist from St. Cloud Tech... Conference and sectional champion as a senior before a seventh-place showing at the state meet... Holds a prep best of 44-9 1/2 in the triple jump... Contributed as a member of the 1,600-meter relay during his junior and senior seasons... Four-year member of the soccer team.
PERSONAL: Son of Allan and Katherine Kersting... Family includes two younger brothers, Adam and Ryan... Earned academic all-state honors... Majoring in mechanical engineering.
