2013-14 SEASON

Indoor (Senior): Placed seventh in the 200m dash and finished ninth in the 60m dash at the Summit League Indoor Championships ... Season-best time of 7.10 seconds in the 60m dash at the Bison Open on Feb. 15 ... Season-best time of 22.61 in the 200m dash at the Thundering Herd Classic on Feb. 8.
Outdoor (Senior): Placed sixth in the 200m dash at the Summit League Outdoor Championships and was a member of NDSU's fourth-place 4x100m relay team ... Posted season-best times of 11.00 in the 100m and 22.16 in the 200m at the NDSU Tune-Up on May 9 ... Also ran 50.53 in the 400m dash at the Beach Invitational on Apr. 19.

2012-13 SEASON 

Indoor (Junior): Finished 19th in the 60m dash at the Summit League Indoor Championships ... Ran 7.28 in the Summit League 60m prelims for his only race of the season.
Outdoor (Junior): Placed third in the 100m dash at the Summit League Outdoor Championships, running a season-best time of 10.83 seconds in the finals ... Also finished 11th in the 200m dash in a season-best 22.03 seconds at the league meet ... 10.85 in the 100m prelims at the league meet.

2011-12 SEASON

INDOOR (Sophomore): Seventh in the 60m dash at the Summit League Indoor Championships ... 11th in the 200m dash at the conference meet ... season-best 60m dash time of 7.00 seconds at the Dakota Duals on Dec. 10 ... season-best 200m time of 22.48 seconds at the Husker Invitational on Feb. 4.
OUTDOOR (Sophomore): Second in the 100m dash and fourth in the 200m dash at the Summit League Outdoor Championships, as well as running a leg on the Bison 4x100m relay team that won the conference title ... also ran on the NDSU 4x400m that claimed a runner-up finish at the conference meet ... season-best times of 10.76 seconds and 21.85 seconds in the 100m and 200m at the league championships.

2010-11 SEASON

Indoor (Freshman): Ran the 60 meters and 200 meters...Posted a best time of 7.15 in the 60 meter final at the Bison Open...Ran a personal best in the 200 meters at the Holiday Invitational, clocking in at 22.96.
Outdoor (Freshman): Sprinter for the Bison...Ran the 100 meters in six meets and the 200 meters in four meets...Ran a personal best time of 11.03 in the 100 meters at the Kip Janvrin Open...Time of 22.48 in the 200 meters at the NDSU-UND dual meet was a personal best...Also ran the 400 meters at the SDSU Twilight meet, finishing in 52.78.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ran track and field at Hawley High School...2010 Minnesota state runner-up in the 100 and 200 meters...Finished third in the 100 meters and fourth in the 200 meters at the 2009 state meet...Earned multiple all-state honors...Broke Hawley's 200 meter record...Also a standout running back on the football team...Set Hawley career records for rushing yards, all-purpose, touchdowns, kick return yards and points scored...Four-time all-conference and all-section selection...Three-time all-state pick...Ranked in the Minnesota all-time top 10 for rushing yards and all-purpose yards.

PERSONAL: Son of Kim and Debra Mattson...Has one older brother, Cory...Majoring in nursing with a minor in human development.
