2016 SEASON (SENIOR): Started all 14 games at right tackle...Graded 99% assignment and 83% technique over 11 regular season games with 34 knockdowns and one sack allowed…MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week after NDSU’s win over the 11th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes, where he had five knockdowns and played 70 snaps with a 100% assignment grade…Part of an offensive line unit nicknamed "The Rams" that led the conference and was among the top 10 in FCS for fewest sacks (1.07) and tackles for loss (3.64) allowed per game.

2015 SEASON (JUNIOR): Started all 15 games at right tackle...Part of an offensive line that ranked first in the FCS in time of possession (36:38) and third in total first downs (329) while leading the Missouri Valley Football Conference in fewest sacks and tackles for loss allowed per game.

2014 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Started all 16 games at right tackle and was part of a two-man rotation with backup Jack Plankers...Part of an offensive line that ranked first in the FCS with only 3.38 tackles for loss allowed per game...NDSU ranked second nationally in time of possession (34:03) and third in total first downs (343) while putting up a school-record 6,916 yards of total offense.

2013 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played in nine games as the backup to All-American Billy Turner at left tackle…Part of a Bison fourth-quarter offense that averaged 9:30 time of possession and converted 66 percent of third downs...NDSU ranked first nationally in third in third down conversion percentage and second in time of possession.
 
2012 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: 2012 graduate of Beach High School...Two-time first team all-region offensive tackle under head coach Mike Zier...Two-time all-West River Conference pick...Graded out to 98 percent on offensive line and 95 percent at tight end...Recorded 47 tackles, eight pass deflections, three fumble recoveries and a pair of forced fumbles on defense...Three-sport athlete who reached 1,000 points in basketball and competed in the shot put and discus in track and field...Earned Class B all-state, all-region and all-district honors in basketball.
 
PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in December 2016 with a bachelor's degree in general agriculture…Worked for the NDSU sheep unit during the summer...Son of Paul Lechler and Barbara Lechler...Has one sister, Lateasha.
