IN HIS CAREER: Played in 42 career games for teams that won five Missouri Valley Football Conference championships and four NCAA FCS national titles in his five seasons...Started all 15 games at right guard as a senior in 2018...Appeared in 27 games as a backup tackle and guard over his first three seasons...Played in all 15 games as a junior including his only career start at Illinois State in place of injured right guard Austin Kuhnert...Sat out the 2014 season as a redshirt in the Bison program...Five-time MVFC Honor Roll member from 2014 to 2018...Four-time MVFC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award honoree from 2015 to 2018...Earned the MVFC President's Council Academic Award in 2018...Named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society after his senior season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time all-state and three-time all-region for Towner-Granville-Upham High School and head coach Scott Thorson...Four-year starter…Played offensive and defensive line, tight end and was the long snapper...Finished with 254 career tackles...The Titans advanced to the state semifinals his junior year...During senior year, recorded 73 tackles, three passes defended, three fumble recoveries, a pair of sacks, one forced fumble and a blocked punt...Three-year starter on basketball court...Two-time all-district and all-region player, who averaged 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as a junior...Member of the honor society and student council.

PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in social science education and a minor in history...Son of Ryan and Michelle Bacon...His sister, Kaitlyn, passed in August 2014...Father attended NDSU.
