2017 SEASON (SENIOR): Played in 7 of 11 regular-season games on special teams and as a backup cornerback and safety...Made four tackles and had one fumble recovery...Dismissed from the team in November for a violation of team rules.

2016 SEASON (JUNIOR): Moved between cornerback and safety in his first year with the Bison after transferring from NDSCS...Saw limited action in five conference games.

BEFORE NDSU: Began his career at Morgan State in 2013 but was held out with an injury...Played the 2015 season at the North Dakota State College of Science...First team all-division in the Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference...Totaled 42 tackles and four interceptions in 10 games played...Also recovered a fumble.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2013 from Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Md...Captain on the football and track teams...First team all-county...Placed fourth in the Maryland Class 3A track meet 110-meter hurdles.

PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in university studies...Son of Darren Kelley and Alicia Staten.
