Four-year starter on the offensive line at three different positions...Played left guard as a redshirt freshman, spent two years at center and was a first team All-American at right guard his senior season...Made 51 starts and played in 55 of 60 possible games helping NDSU to a 54-6 record...Part of five Missouri Valley Football Conference championship teams and four NCAA Division I FCS national titles.

2017 SEASON (SENIOR): All-America first team by American Football Coaches Association, FCS Athletic Directors Association, Associated Press, STATS FCS, HERO Sports and Phil Steele...All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team...Started 14 of 15 games at right guard, missing the regular-season finale at Illinois State with a knee injury...Led the Bison with an 86 percent technique grade during the regular season with only one assignment error and zero sacks allowed...Was second on the team with 31 total knockdowns including 26 pancakes in 10 games...Anchor of an offensive line that helped NDSU rush for a school-record 4,083 yards and tied school records for points (581) and touchdowns (79).

2016 SEASON (JUNIOR): Started the final 12 games of the year at center after serving a two-game suspension for academic reasons...Part of an offensive line that led the Missouri Valley Football Conference in fewest sacks and tackles for loss allowed per game...The Bison ranked third nationally in TFLs allowed (3.64) and 10th in fewest sacks (1.07)...Named MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week after recording six knockdowns and grading out at 100 percent on assignment as the Bison rushed for 240 yards in a win against Youngstown State.

2015 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Started 14 of 15 games at center...Missed the South Dakota game with an elbow injury sustained in the fourth quarter against Northern Iowa...Part of an offensive line that ranked first in the FCS in time of possession (36:38) and third in total first downs (329) while leading the Missouri Valley Football Conference in fewest sacks and tackles for loss allowed per game.

2014 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played in 15 of 16 games in 2014 missing the South Dakota game with an ankle injury...Started 11 games at left guard including the last seven in a row...Part of an offensive line that ranked first in the FCS with only 3.38 tackles for loss allowed per game...NDSU ranked second nationally in time of possession (34:03) and third in total first downs (343) while putting up a school-record 6,916 yards of total offense.

2013 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2013 season as a redshirt in the Bison program.

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state offensive and defensive lineman for Washington High School and head coach Brian Hermanson...Selected the 2012 Most Outstanding Lineman at state championship game...Washington rolled up 42-4 record including a pair of state championships and a state runner-up finish during his career...Named to the Argus Leader Elite 45, the all-city and all-Greater Dakota Conference teams...Earned Coca-Cola Unsung Hero honors...Competed in the shot put and discus in track and field.

PERSONAL: Majoring in general agriculture…Son of Brad Kuhnert and Amy DeVries, both of Sioux Falls, S.D...Has two brothers, Evan Kuhnert and Jonah DeVries.
