2017 SEASON (SENIOR): Played in home non-conference games against Mississippi Valley State and Robert Morris...MVFC Honor Roll and Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

2016 SEASON (JUNIOR): Member of the Bison football program, but did not play due to injury...MVFC Honor Roll and Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

2015 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Member of the Bison football program, but did not see significant playing time...Appeared in the home wins over Western Illinois and Missouri State in November...MVFC Honor Roll and Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.

2014 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played in the Incarnate Word game...Made two solo tackles including one on kickoff coverage...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.

2013 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2013 graduate of Ray High School...Four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for Williams County High School and head coach Timothy Schaffer...Played quarterback, running back, wide receiver, cornerback and wide receiver...All-state performer as a senior...Two-time all-Northwest Conference team selection...Four-year letterwinner and three-year starter in basketball at Ray, landing both all-district and all-region tournament honors...Four-year letterwinner in track and field for Williams County, placing at the state meet in the 300 meter hurdles.
 
PERSONAL: Graduated from NDSU in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural systems management and a minor in crop and weed science...Son of Shane and Stephanie Hodenfield...Has one brother, Garrett, and one sister, Haley...Father and mother are two of five relatives that graduated from NDSU...Father, Shane, played defensive back for the Bison from 1977-80 and was an all-conference sprinter on the track and field team from 1978-82...He also served as an assistant football coach from 1985-95 and was part of four NCAA Division II national championships.
