NDSU

A veteran of the North Dakota State University athletic department since 1989, Scott Woken serves as the senior associate athletic director for internal operations.

Woken has oversight of building operations at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex, assists with capital improvement projects and renovations, and manages the facilities and operations budget. He is also the sport supervisor for NDSU baseball.

Woken also leads the event operations staff for NDSU football and baseball, coordinates the event planning and operations for NCAA championship events Bison teams participate in, and has oversight of NDSU's sports medicine program.

He came to NDSU in the fall of 1989 as the head of athletic training services. As the director of sports medicine and later assistant athletic director, he managed a staff of 11 certified athletic trainers and 16 team doctors while also overseeing institutional and NCAA drug testing.

Woken graduated from the NDSU athletic training program in 1987 and earned his master's degree in athletic training from Western Michigan in 1988.

He was the head athletic trainer at Kalamazoo College in Michigan for one season (1987-88) and was with MeritCare Sports Medicine in Fargo for one year (1988-89) before joining the Bison.

His resume also includes the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Scott and his wife, Kathy, have a daughter, Alex.
