HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Redwood Valley High School...Three-year letterwinner in track and two-year letterwinner in cross country...Two-time state participant in cross country...Led team to the Southwest Conference title and four straight Minnesota state appearances...Three-time state participant in track...Finished third, fourth and fifth at the Minnesota state championships in the 4x800 relay in 2007-09, respectively...Holds the school record in the 800 and the 4x800...Also played two years of football...Played four years of basketball...Member of the Southwest Conference championship team.

PERSONAL: Son of Patrick and Michelle Thooft...Has four younger brothers, Dillon, Levi, Logan and Lucas...Majoring in sport and recreation leadership.
