Alyssa Rushton was named the North Dakota State Director of Basketball Operations on May 30, 2019.
Prior to coming to NDSU, Rushton spent two seasons as an assistant coach at North Dakota State College of Science. She assisted with scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, while also assisting in the coordination of team travel arrangements. Rushton was in charge of all postgame meals for players and staff.
Rushton spent the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach at Pratt Community College. While at Pratt, Rushton's duties included individual workouts, travel coordinator, recruiting and opponent scouting. Rushton was a graduate assistant in sports information at Augustana from 2014-15 and worked for the NCAA Championships in Sioux Falls in 2015.
On the floor, Rushton played at Kansas City Kansas Community College from 2009-2011 and at the University of Sioux Falls from 2011-2013. Rushton started all 27 games as a senior at Sioux Falls, averaging 10 points a game and grabbing 117 rebounds. She was an All-Jayhawk Conference Second Team selection both years at KCKCC, earning team MVP honors in both seasons as well. She also played in the NJCAA All-Star game while at KCKCC.
Rushton earned a bachelor's degree from Sioux Falls in 2013 and a master's degree in sports administration from Augustana in 2017.
