Michaela Everett was named an assistant coach at North Dakota State on April 29, 2022.
Everett helped NDSU to its most wins in the Division I era and most since 2004-05 with a 22-12 (13-3 Summit) overall record in 2023-24. The Bison finished in second place in the Summit League and went on to appear in their first-ever Summit League Tournament championship game. NDSU closed the season winning its first WNIT game in program history over Montana and advanced to the WNIT Super 16 round against Minnesota. The Bison completed the 2023-24 season ranking in the top 30 nationally in three-point percentage (13th, 36.8), free throw percentage (21st, 15.03) and scoring offense (29th, 75.4).
Prior to NDSU, Everett spent one season at Dubuque in 2021-22 as an assistant coach and helped the Spartans to their first 15-win season since 2014-15. She assisted with the development of Karsen Kershner, who was an American Rivers Conference First Team selection and Defensive Player of the Year.
Everett also spent two seasons as the Director of Basketball Operations at Missouri State and two seasons at Northwest Missouri State as a graduate assistant and camp coordinator. She began her career as an undergraduate coach at Wisconsin. Everett played for the Badgers for three seasons from 2013-16 before injuries cut her playing career short.
