The 2011-12 Season: While 2012 ended on a sour note with knee injury in final regular season game, Van Kirk still landed spot on the Summit League's All-Newcomer team ... Started in 22 of 28 games played ... Averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1 steal over 27 minutes played per game ... Connected on 36.8 percenter from the field including 24.3 percent from the three-point line ... Made 82.9 percent from the foul line ... Reached double-figures in scoring nine times including a season-high 24 points in the win over IPFW (12-29-11) ... Led the Bison in scoring five times and rebounding once ... High School Days: A 2011 graduate of Sutton Public High School ... Three-time Tribeland Player of the Year according to the Hastings (Neb.) Tribune for Sutton High School and head coach Andy Gerlecz ... Averaged 16 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals per game in leading Sutton to the state championship game as a senior ... Shot 82 percent from the foul line and 33 percent from the three-point line ... Four-time all-state, academic all-state and all-conference performer ... As a freshman, she led Sutton to the state championship game and was named to the all-tournament team ...
