Biography

2006 Season (Junior): Saw action in all 21 games for NDSU, including nine starts...Proved to be one of the most feared offensive weapons for the Bison, leading the team with 10 goals and tying for second on the team with five assists, both career bests...Scored the game-winning goal against Minnesota State Mankato (10/3)...Tallied two hat tricks on the season, with the first coming in a 5-1 defeat of Mary (9/25) and the second coming in a 12-0 romp of Howard (10/29)...Found the back of the net twice in a 7-0 defeat of New Jersey Tech on Oct. 30...Had two multi-assist games, notching a pair of assists against both Howard and New Jersey Tech...Led the United Soccer Conference in goals (10) and points (25)... Finished the season ranked eighth on the Bison all-time scoring list with 54 points (24 goals, six assists).

2005 Season (Sophomore): Upped her scoring total to eight goals after an outstanding freshman campaign where she was named team offensive MVP... Hit the eventual game winners on three occasions... Provided the opening goal against Northern Iowa (9/4) in the 25th minute of a 5-0 win, struck in the 8th minute versus Grambling State (9/25) in a 4-0 victory and hit a hat trick in a 3-2 win with Northern Colorado (10/14) in Fargo... Earned Division I independent Offensive Player of the Week honors for her three-goal effort... Named to the Division I all-independent team after finishing second in points and goals among the six independent squads.

2004 Season (Freshman): Played in 16 games, starting eight... Led the team with six goals... Second on the team in points (12), shots (29) and shots on goal (19)... Named team offensive player of the year... Scored her first goal in a 2-1 double-overtime loss at Creighton... Selected as Division I independent Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 12.

High School: Three-year letterwinner at Oak Park High School... Named team MVP in 2002 and 2003... Was a member of the Manitoba provincial team and played in the Golden Boy International Soccer Tournament and the Western Canada Games... Volunteered for famine relief and UNICEF.

Personal: Daughter of Pat and Helen Martinez... Has a twin-sister, Sandra... Worked for NDSU soccer camps during the summer... Majoring in physical education.
