2004-05 SEASON (JUNIOR): Averaged 84.2 strokes over 18 rounds in her first season at NDSU after two years at Morningside College...Tied for second at her first NDSU event (Cobber Open)...Won the Lady Bison Classic with a season-best 75 and was fifth at the NDSU Fall Challenge...AT MORNINGSIDE: Won five tournaments as a freshman and averaged 86.1 strokes per round...Dropped her average to 82.6 as a sophomore when she placed third in the conference in 10th in the regional...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2002 from Kindred High School...Four-year starter for coach Julie Jensen...Won all but one tournament her senior year...Capped off the year by winning the regional and state Class B championships...Three-time all-region selection and all-state her senior year...Named the state's Senior Athlete of the Year...Also a two-time letterwinner in volleyball...PERSONAL: Majoring in psychology with a minor in business administration...Daughter of Kim and Shelley Kappes of Oxbow, N.D...Family includes two younger siblings, Blake and Brady.
