Emily Savona was North Dakota State's director of women's soccer operations for 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Savona joined the Bison after wrapping up her four-year collegiate playing career at Hood College. She played in 49 career games at Hood, scoring a goal and three assists in her time as a Blazer.

The Jackson, N.J., native was a two-sport student-athlete for the Blazers and also played four seasons of lacrosse during her time in Frederick, Md. Savona made 45 career appearances with 38 starts in defense.Â

Savona was also a part of the leadership team at Hood, representing her teams on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, while attending the Middle Atlantic Conference Women’s Leadership Symposium, the NCAA Career in Sport Forum and the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Training Forum. Savona also served as the student-athlete representative on a coaching search and the athletics working group for Hood College’s strategic plan.Â

During the summer of 2020, Savona worked as a marketing intern for Sky Blue FC in the National Women’s Soccer League. She also worked as a student worker for Hood College as a Graphic Designer.Â

Savona is a 2021 graduate of Hood College, earning a bachelor's degree in integrated marketing communications with a minor in graphic design.
