2025 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Only player to appear in and start all 55 games…Leadoff hitter in all 55 games…Finished in the top 10 on the Bison single-season list in hits (t-2nd, 84), at-bats (4th, 229) and stolen bases (9th, 18)…Led the Summit League and ranked 49th in the nation with 84 hits…Positioned second in the Summit League and 33rd in the nation in hits per game with 1.53…Slotted second in the Summit League with a .367 batting average…Recorded a team-high 27 multiple hit games…Added a team-high four triples and ranked tied for second on the team with nine doubles…Contributed a team-best 49 runs and tallied 21 RBI…Posted a .972 fielding percentage…Registered a team-best .408 batting average, .517 slugging percentage, .474 on-base percentage and ranked second in the league with 49 total hits in Summit League play…Logged at least one hit in 25-of-28 Summit League games with 17 multiple hit games…Earned All-Summit League First Team honors for the second straight season and became the first player in program history to be named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year….Named a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award…Selected to the Summit League Championship All-Tournament Team.

2024 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 48 games with 47 starts…Recorded a team-best .337 batting average and .436 on-base percentage…Registered a .421 slugging percentage…Connected on a team-high 64 hits, including nine doubles, two triples and one home run…Ranked second on the team with 19 multiple hit games…Assembled a season-best 11-game hit streak from April 6 vs. South Dakota State to April 27 vs. Omaha…Recorded a team-high 16 stolen bases on 20 attempts…Led all freshmen in Summit League play in batting average (.348), on-base percentage (.451), hits (39) and runs (27)…Added a team-high 13 multiple hit games in Summit League play…Only freshman named to the All-Summit League First Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letter winner at Janesville Craig High School…Registered a .433 career batting average with 66 hits, including 14 doubles and five triples…Compiled 63 runs with 36 RBI and contributed 53 stolen bases…Earned All-State Second Team honors at shortstop and was named the team most valuable player in his junior season…Tabbed to the All-Conference First Team in sophomore and junior season…Also played hockey and football…Earned First Team All-Conference as a sophomore and junior to go along with All-State Second Team honors in hockey…Was named to the First Team All-Conference in football as a quarterback in his senior season.

PERSONAL: Son of Sarah and Tom Schaffner…Tom played both hockey and football at Wisconsin-Stout…Has two sisters, Ava and Emma…Has one brother, Ben.
