2024 SEASON (JUNIOR): Appeared in 27 games with 23 starts…Registered a .207 batting average, .239 slugging percentage and .361 on-base percentage…Totaled 14 hits with two doubles…Added seven runs and four RBI… Made his Bison debut at UC Irvine (Feb. 16)… Notched his first hit as a Bison at Pacific (Feb. 24).

PRIOR TO NDSU: Spent one season at Pima Community College in 2023…Appeared in 58 games and totaled 52 hits, including eight doubles and three triples…Added 33 runs and 31 RBI…Registered a .304 batting average, .380 on-base percentage and .386 slugging percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Registered a .400 batting average with 46 hits and 55 runs at Salpointe Catholic High School…Earned First Team All-State in his senior season…Helped guide his team to a state championship in his sophomore season.

PERSONAL: Son of Cynthia Leyva and Carlos Garcia…Carlos played in both the MLB and Mexican League.
