2008-09 SEASON

Cross Country (Junior): Ran in six races for the Bison...Posted a season-best 6k time of 25:54.40 at the Tori Neubauer Invitational (10/18).

Indoor (Junior): Redshirt.

Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in the 200, 400 and 800 for the Bison...Ran a personal-best time of 2:15.94 in the 800 meter final at the Summit League Championships en route to a fourth place finish (5/14)...Ran a best time of 26.57 in the 200 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/17)...Ran the 400 in a personal record time of 58.29 at the Beach Invitational (4/18).

2007-08 SEASON

Indoor (Sophomore): Ran a personal best of 26.96 in the 200 meters at the Iowa State Classic...Finished 12th in the 400 at the adidas Classic in a personal best time of 58.37.

Outdoor (Freshman): Did not compete in any races.

Cross Country (Sophomore): Competed in five races...Ran a best time of 25:50.0 in a 6K at the Summit League Championships.

2006-07 SEASON

Indoor (Freshman): Ran a personal best in the 400m of 59.39 to finish 25th at Nebraska.

Outdoor: Redshirt.

Cross Country (Freshman): Competed in all seven events for North Dakota State... Ran a personal-best 21:11.00 in the Midwest Collegiate Open (Kenosha, Wis.)... Finished 43rd in the Division I independent championships, helping the Bison to a fifth place finish.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letterwinner in track & field for Burnsville (Minn.) High School... As a senior, placed second at sectionals and at state in the 800-meter relay... Helped the same relay to a state championship as a junior, running a school-record 1:42.92... Her sophomore year was highlighted by running on the state champion 1,600 relay team which set a school record in the four-lap event with a 3:53.37... Set personal records of 26.23 in the 200 and 58.41 in the 400...  Named captain and Most valuable runner as a senior at Burnsville... Also lettered in soccer for three seasons where she was a starter playing defense... Named captain as a senior where the Blaze captured the Lake Conference championship... All-state honorable mention on the pitch.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jon and Nancy Bestland... Family includes two older brothers, Justin and Jacob... Majoring in exercise science...Plans on attending Northwestern Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minn. for graduate school after leaving NDSU.
