Biography

2008-09 SEASON

Indoor (Junior):Set a season-best mark of 18-2 ½ in the long jump at the Northern State Open (2/14)...Finished second in the triple jump at the Dakota Duals with a mark of 39-4, which ranks sixth all-time at NDSU...Came in second in the triple jump at the Summit League Championships.

Outdoor (Junior): Competed in the long jump and triple jump...Posted four top-five finishes in the long jump...Finished fifth at the Summit League Championships with season-best mark of 19-1 ¼...Won the triple jump at the Beach Invitational (4/18) and the Ron Masanz Classic (5/2)...Finished fourth in the triple jump at the Summit League Championships with a personal-best mark of 40-2, which is ranked sixth all-time at NDSU.

 

2007-08 SEASON

Indoor (Sophomore): Won the long jump and triple jump at the Cobber Duals...Finished sixth at the Summit League Championships in the long jump and third in the triple jump with her triple jump of 39-4 good for fifth on the all-time charts.

Outdoor (Sophomore): Won the long jump at the Bison Open in a personal best of 19-2...Seventh in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump at the Summit League Championships.

 

2006-07 SEASON

Indoor (Freshman): Won the triple jump at the Bison Open... Placed second in the long jump at both the Bison Open and the Dakota Duals... Recorded personal bests of 18-1 3/4 in the long jump and 37-8 3/4 in the triple jump.

Outdoor: Redshirt.   

 

2005-06 SEASON

Indoor: Redshirt.

Outdoor (Freshman): Moved to No. 9 on the school’s all-time triple jump list in only her first season with a 38-0 leap at the Bison Invitational on April 8... Had a season best long jump of 18-3 in a sixth-place finish at the Division I independent championships on May 13... Added a fourth-place finish in the triple to help NDSU to a team title in Greeley, Colo... Called to duty on a young 400-meter relay squad, which used three rookies in the lineup.   

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time state champion in the triple jump... Also captured the state title in the long jump... Had prep bests of 38-8 1/4 and 18-9 in the events, both school records... Has a 25.95 clocking in the 200 to her credit... Six-time letterwinner in track & field, four times in basketball, three times in gymnastics and twice in volleyball... All-state selection in volleyball as a senior... Named all-conference on the hardwood as a junior and a senior... Was the state’s leading rebounder both seasons.

 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Don and Jackie Bruenjes... Family includes three brothers and two sisters... Majoring in elementary education with a minor in coaching.
