2004-05 Season: Redshirt.

2003-04 Season

Cross Country (Freshman): Made a huge impact for the Bison cross country team in 2003... Placed first in her rookie race for the Bison at the Ron Pynn Invitational... Also outpaced the cross country runners at the Wayne State (Neb.) Open...  Finished in fourth place at the North Central Conference meet with a time of 22:08.73... Placed 51st at the NCAA regional... Indoor Track & Field (Freshman): Victorious in three races during the indoor season... Placed second in the mile with a personal best of 5:06.26 at the NCC indoor championships... Followed up with a runner-up in the 3,000... Outdoor Track & Field (Freshman): Bumped up to the 5,000 and 10,000 during the outdoor season... Won the 5,000 at the Division II Challenge (18:00.99)... Had a second-place finish at the NCC outdoor meet in the 10,000 (37:51.51).

High School: Three-time state champion in the 1,600 and the 3,200 for Summit (S.D.) High School... Also was a state cross country champion... Four-year letterwinner in basketball... Personal: Daughter of Ferdy and Susan Zirbel... Family includes eight sisters and three brothers... College major is nursing with a minor in health education.
