2015-16 SEASON (Freshman): Put together a 7-15 record wrestling at 174 pounds including 2-5 in duals and a pair of major decisions ... Went 2-2 at the Big 12 Wrestling Championships (3-5/6-16) including a major decision ... Won four of his last eight matches including dual wins at Northern Colorado (1-17-16) and against Air Force (1-22-16) ... Had 2-2 record at the Reno Tournament of Champions (12-20-15).

2014-15 SEASON (Redshirt): Took a redshirt year at Utah Valley University ... Did not compete in any matches on the year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Placed fifth at 152 pounds in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state tournament for Clovis High School.

PERSONAL: Son of Bryan and Carla Thompson … Has two brothers, Bryce and Colby, and one sister, Chloe … Bryce wrestled for The Citadel … College major is exercise science.
