Biography

2006-07 (Sophomore): Competed in the Bison Open at 149, finishing 3-2 including a technical fall on Johnathan Jimenez of Minnesota State Moorhead.

2005-06 (Freshman): Went 5-6 in three tournaments last season...Went 3-2 at the Cobber Open, two of those wins coming by fall...Pinned his first two opponents at the Bison Open.

2004-05 (Redshirt): Went 2-6 in unattached matches competing in three tournaments.

High School: Graduated in 2004 from Wenatchee High School...Coached by Stan Opp...Four-year starter and a three-time conference and section champion...Qualified for the Washington state tournament three times, placing in 2002 at 103 pounds...Finished his career with 27 pins...Named team captain his senior year and chosen as the team’s Most Outstanding Wrestler his freshman through senior seasons.

Personal: Majoring in business administration...Son of Stan and Tina Whitley of Wenatchee...Family includes one brother, Tim and one sister, Michelle.
