    Cornerbacks Coach
Cornerbacks coach Lewis Walker returned to the North Dakota State University football staff for the 2026 season. He previously coached the Bison corners in 2022 and 2023 before serving as the defensive coordinator at Monmouth University in 2024 and 2025.

Walker's first stint at NDSU came after five seasons at Monmouth University, where he was part of two Big South Conference championships. He coached the defensive secondary and return specialists and produced three FCS All-Americans.
 
Walker started his coaching career in Utah at Copper Hills High School in 2014 before spending the 2015 and 2016 seasons with Columbia University (N.Y.) as a defensive quality control, defensive backs and returners coach.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Walker was a defensive back for three years at Hawaii before transferring to Utah for his final two seasons. He earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Utah in 2013.
