Border States congratulates Jack Simonsen, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Simonsen, a sophomore outfielder on the baseball team from Sioux Falls, S.D., has a 3.239 GPA in business management. Simonsen hit 6-for-12 with two doubles and three runs batted in as North Dakota State swept a three-game Summit League series at Purdue Fort Wayne. His RBI double in the 11th inning lifted the Bison to a 5-4 win in the second game of the series. Simonsen is hitting a team-high .328 through 18 games and leads the team with 16 RBIs.
