Border States congratulates Syra Tanchin, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Tanchin, a freshman from St. Michael, Minn., is majoring in biology. Tanchin was a bright spot over this last weekend as the Bison dropped the first two Summit League matches of the season against South Dakota State and Omaha. The freshman recorded a game highs with 14 kills and 16 points against SDSU. Tanchin had another strong performance against Omaha with 12 kills. The outside hitter currently ranks fifth on the team in total kills despite only playing in eight matches, and she ranks second on the team with 2.64 kills per set.
