Border States congratulates Skylar Padgett, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Padgett, a family and consumer sciences major, had a .412 average over five games at the Kansas Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kan. The sophomore from Grants Pass, Ore. had six RBIs on eight hits during the tournament, including a home run in a 9-1 victory against the University of South Dakota. Padgett is currently hitting .293 and is tied for the team lead with two home runs.Â
