Border States congratulates Benji Phillips, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Phillips, an exercise science major, threw 238-1 (72.56m) in the javelin at Wichita State's Shocker Spring Invitational in Wichita, Kan., ranking him the second-best in NDSU history and among the Top 10 performers in the NCAA this season. The Glasgow, Mont., native had three throws over 70 meters in the meet.Â
Exhibiting a stellar performance in the classroom and in competition is no easy task. It takes tireless energy, passion and personal commitment to achieve excellence. It's this pursuit of excellence that helps the entire team succeed.
