A longtime booster of the Bison athletic program, a founding member of the NDSU Athletic Hall of Fame committee, and chairman of the Bison Booster Day for a decade, he is a 1949 graduate of the College of Engineering at NDSU. He has been Bison Booster of the Year, co-chair of the 1965 Team Makers banquet for the first national football championship team, a member of the NDSU Athletic Committee, a member of the NDSU Sports Medicine Committee, and a member of the original 10-man steering committee for the Fargodome ballot in addition to numerous civic, business, and charitible memberships. He is a retired executive of Fargo Paint and Glass.
