Pedersen is a 1941 graduate of NDSU and has been a highly visible fan and prolific contributor to Bison athletics for well over half a century. He has seen the performances of over 100 of the athletes who have been inducted into the Bison Hall of Fame, established in 1972. Pedersen’s unceasing loyalty and vigorous dedication to NDSU has been multi-faceted: a co-founder of the NDSU Team Makers club in 1950, he served on the NDAC-to-NDSU Name Change Committee, was NDSU's 1969 honored alumnus, is an honorary member of the NDSU Lettermen’s Club, a recipient of the NDSU Business Alumni Award, founder-chairman of the NDSU Bison Athletic Hall of Fame and served on the board of directors of the NDSU Alumni Association.
