FARGO, ND--North Dakota State junior catcher CHRIS BASO has been named to the 2003 NCAA All-Central Region baseball team. That 16-man team is selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association in conjunction with Rawlings Sporting Goods.

Baso, from Menahga, Minnesota, was named first team All-North Central Conference earlier this month after hitting .365 with 10 doubles, 11 home runs, 39 runs scored, and a team-high 51 runs batted in leading the Bison to a 28-18 season record.

Baso is one of six North Central Conference players on the first team.
