COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Kyle Tash scattered six hits in eight innings of work to help Utah Valley State to an 8-2 win over North Dakota State in college baseball Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Air Force Academy.

Tash fanned six and walked none for the Wolverines (4-3), who scored 52 runs in four wins over the weekend including a 10-0 victory over North Dakota State on Friday, Feb. 18.

The Wolverines were up 4-0 on Sunday before North Dakota State (0-3) rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning.

Tim Erickson's two-out RBI triple scored Nathan Thomas, and Charles Magedanz followed with an RBI single down the left-field line.

The Wolverines extended their lead to 6-2 in the fourth and tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh for the final margin.

Bison starter Jared Sullivan took the loss.  He worked seven innings and allowed all eight runs on 16 hits while walking three and striking out three.

NDSU freshman shortstop Matt Mossey was 2-for-4 in the game and had nine putouts in the field.  He was on the receiving end of four throws from freshman catcher Gavin Hofer, who gunned down four would-be base stealers in seven steal attempts.
