Box Score FARGO, N.D. (AP)--Andre Smith had a triple-double and coach Tim Miles picked up his 200th career victory as North Dakota State rolled over Mayville State 98-60 on Thursday.
Smith had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Bison (8-4). It was the first triple-double at NDSU dating back to 1973, the first year such records were kept.
Six Bison players scored in double figures against Miles' former team. Miles coached the Comets (9-5) to two NAIA national tournament appearances in two years (1995-97) as head coach.
Ben Woodside scored 22 of his 27 points in the first half. Mike Nelson added 15 points, Brett Winkelman 12 and Smith, Tom Lunde and Austin Pennick chipped in 10 apiece.
The Bison led 47-21 at the half.
Ron Howard led Mayville State with 20 points. Matthew Stenehjem had 12 point and 10 rebounds and Monty Rogers had 10 points.
North Dakota State plays at Iowa State on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
The game will be televised nationally as part of the ESPN Full Court package, and regionally on North Dakota ABC stations and the Cyclone Television Network.
