
Bison Win Sixth Straight Home Game Over Valley City State, 83-61

FARGO, N.D.--Brett Winkelman had 23 points and Ben Woodside added 18 to lead North Dakota State to an 83-61 win over Valley City State in college men's basketball Thursday, Dec. 18.
It was the sixth straight home win dating back to last year for North Dakota State, which improved to 6-3 overall.
Valley City State (6-7) made its first four 3-pointers of the game and went up 20-14 midway through the first half. NDSU led 37-30 at halftime.
Nine players scored for North Dakota State including center Lucas Moormann, who had 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Josh Vaughan was 3-for-3 from the arc for nine points.
The Bison had a 31-26 rebounding advantage with five apiece for Moormann and Mike Nelson.
Calvin Kraft led the Vikings with 15 points including 3 of 4 from the 3-point line. Teammate Mark Klingberg scored 11 points off the bench.
A crowd of 1,392 was on hand at the Bison Sports Arena.
North Dakota State is scheduled to play at Southern California (6-3) on Saturday, Dec. 20. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. PT at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
