Box Score FARGO, N.D.--Brett Winkelman had 30 points and eight rebounds to lead North Dakota State over Centenary 91-73 Thursday in Summit League men's basketball.
Winkelman, who scored a career-high 39 points at Centenary in early December, was 9-for-13 from the field with two 3-pointers and went 10-for-11 from the line for NDSU (15-13, 9-8).
He was one of four players in double figures. Josh Vaughan scored 14 points with seven assists, Ben Woodside had 12 points and eight assists, and Michael Tveidt finished with 10 points.
The Bison led 40-32 at the half and led by as many as 28 midway through the second when Austin Pennick's 3-pointer from the right corner made it 79-51 with 10:08 to play.
Centenary (9-20, 3-14) struggled from the field early. The Gentlemen fell behind 26-9 with 8:44 left in the half and never recovered. Centenary shot 33 percent in the first half.
Nick Stallings led the Gents with 23 points and eight rebounds. Lance Hill added 14 and Tyrone Hamilton 12.
North Dakota State hosts conference champion Oral Roberts at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. The Golden Eagles (21-7, 16-1) beat South Dakota State 67-52 in Brookings Thursday.
