Bison Roll Past MSU Moorhead in Exhibition Opener, 88-71

FARGO, N.D.--Sophomore Eric Carlson scored a game-high 22 points to lead North Dakota State to an 88-71 victory over Minnesota State Moorhead exhibition men's basketball Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Bison Sports Arena.

Carlson led five North Dakota State players in double figures.  Junior Michael Tveidt and freshman Mike Felt scored 16 points apiece, Josh Vaughan scored 12 and Jordan Aaberg had 11.

Both teams shot 44 percent from the floor, but NDSU was 26-for-38 at the free-throw line.  MSU Moorhead was 10-for-16.

NDSU outrebounded MSUM 40-37 led by Carlson's nine rebounds and Sam Sussenguth's eight.  The Bison committed only five turnovers in the game.

Jake Driscoll led the Dragons with 17 points, Alex Novak scored 14, and Jordan May and Dennis Williamson had 10 points apiece.

North Dakota State will play its final exhibition game against Concordia College at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
