Box Score TULSA, Okla.--Michael Craion scored a game-high 20 points to lead Oral Roberts to a 71-57 victory over North Dakota State in Summit League men's basketball Thursday, Jan. 28, before a crowd of 1,547 at the Mabee Center.
Craion scored 14 points in the second half for ORU, which went on a 20-2 run after NDSU forward Eric Carlson's basket at the 14:46 mark tied the game at 37.
North Dakota State (7-13, 4-6) missed 16 straight field goals during that nine-minute run with its only two points coming on a pair of Nate Zastrow free throws.
Zastrow's jumper at the 5:32 made it 57-41, but Craion answered with a field goal and Kevin Ford turned his blocked shot into a transition dunk to put ORU ahead by 20.
Dominique Morrison added 16 points and seven rebounds for ORU (12-10, 7-3). Ford finished with a game-high nine rebounds for the Golden Eagles, who outrebounded NDSU 45-34.
Michael Tveidt led the Bison with 12 points, Josh Vaughan scored 11, and Drew Lundberg scored a career-high 10 points including two late 3-pointers.
Carlson added eight points and a game-high nine rebounds for NDSU.
The Bison shot 35.5 percent overall compared to 45.8 percent for Oral Roberts.
North Dakota State is scheduled to play Centenary at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Gold Dome in Shreveport, La. The Gents are 7-14 overall and 2-8 in the league after an 81-75 loss to South Dakota State on Thursday.
