Box Score SHREVEPORT, La.--Eric Carlson and Michael Tveidt combined for 23 points in the second half to lead North Dakota State to a 73-62 victory over Centenary in Summit League men's basketball Saturday, Jan. 30.
Carlson scored NDSU's first seven points after a 28-28 halftime tie and had 11 of the team's 16 by the 13:31 mark when the Bison went ahead 44-37.
North Dakota State led 47-44 before Tveidt had eight straight points on an 11-2 run that gave the Bison (8-13, 5-6) a double-digit lead.
Centenary went without a field goal for eight minutes and the Gents (7-15, 2-9) were no closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Carlson finished with game highs of 17 points and eight rebounds for NDSU, Tveidt had 14 points, eight rebounds and a game-high four assists.
NDSU's Josh Vaughan had 13 points and five rebounds and Nate Zastrow scored 10 points including making 5 of 6 free throws in the final minute.
Drew Lundberg had nine points, three rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes of action in his first start for North Dakota State. He averaged 8.3 points during the three-game road trip.
Matt Marseille led Centenary with 13 points and five rebounds, and David Perez added 12 points for the Gents.
North Dakota State is scheduled to host UMKC on Thursday, Feb. 4, and Southern Utah on Saturday, Feb. 6. Game time is 7 p.m. both nights at the Bison Sports Arena.
