Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Emily Juhl and Anastasia Artemeva combined for 25 kills to lead Louisville to a 15-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19 victory over North Dakota State in the women's volleyball opener for both teams Friday, Aug. 27, at the Louisville Cardinal Classic.
Artemeva hit .550 with 12 kills and only one error in 20 attacks as the defending Big East tournament champions outhit North Dakota State by a .277 to .125 margin. Louisville setter Gosia Lech had 27 assists and five kills.
North Dakota State got seven kills apiece from Brooke VandenBergh, Lauren McLaughlin and Megan Lambertson. McLaughlin led the Bison with 10 digs and setter Jennifer Lopez had 28 assists.
NDSU is scheduled to play defending Mid-American Conference champion Ohio at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 28. The Bobcats won 3-0 over Virginia Commonwealth on Friday.
