DES MOINES, Iowa - North Dakota State sophomore Brooklyn Dyce scored her third goal of the season in a 1-1 double overtime draw with Drake on Thursday, Sept. 23.  The game was delayed at the start due to rain and switched venues from Cownie Soccer Complex to Drake Stadium.  With the draw, the Bison are now 4-2-3 this season and Drake is 5-2-3.

Seniors Quin Ryan and Candice D'Arcangeli, along with freshman Katie Tallas, notched shots in the first half, but the teams went into halftime scoreless.

Dyce gave the Bison the lead in the 66th minute, heading in a corner kick from junior Abbey Stratton.  The assist was Stratton's fourth of the season.

Drake tied the game in the 78th minute on a penalty kick from Megan Fisher after a handball in the box.

The Bison had two late chances in regulation, but junior Danielle Boldenow's shot was blocked and sophomore Holly Christian's shot went over the bar.

Junior goalie Kalani Bertsch saved a final effort from Drake's Danielle Figliola as time ran out in regulation.

Bertsch made one save early in the first overtime period.  Stratton and Tallas both notched shots on goal, but Drake goalie Kalena Litch made the saves.

The Bison outshot the Bulldogs, 10-7, but Drake held the edge in shots on goal, 5-4.  Bertsch made four saves in the draw.

NDSU returns to Fargo to host South Dakota on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 12 p.m. at the Ellig Sports Complex.
