INDIANAPOLIS - Taylor Braun scored a career-high 30 points and North Dakota State shot 62 percent from the field to beat IUPUI 84-79 in Summit League men's basketball Saturday, Dec. 3, at The Jungle.

Braun was 9-for-11 from the field and 10-for-15 at the free-throw line for North Dakota State, and TrayVonn Wright had a career-high four blocks to go with season highs of 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Mike Felt made a pair of 3-pointers and went 5 of 5 at the foul line for 11 points off the bench as NDSU improved to 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Two nights after committing 20 turnovers in a four-point loss at Western Illinois, NDSU topped that with 21 turnovers against IUPUI, including 15 in the second half.

The Bison shot better than 69 percent in the first half and led by as many as 19 points late before taking a 45-31 lead into the halftime locker room.

IUPUI, which erased a 15-point second half deficit to force overtime in Thursday's loss to South Dakota State, managed to close within four in the final minute of play but fell to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the league.

Summit League Preseason Player of the Year Alex Young scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half, and Sean Esposito had 14 points off the bench including a pair of late 3-pointers to get the Jaguars within single digits.

NDSU shot 28-for-45 overall and IUPUI, which had 24 offensive rebounds in the game, went 27-for-76 overall.  The Jags had a 41-35 edge in total boards.

North Dakota State is scheduled to play Arizona State at 2 p.m. MT on Saturday, Dec. 10.  The Sun Devils are 3-4 heading into a Wednesday home game with Nevada.
