FARGO, N.D.--Kristin Rotert scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as South Dakota State hit 65 percent from the field in the second half in rolling to a 64-51 win over North Dakota State in a Summit League women's basketball game played Saturday, Feb. 26, before 2,521 fans in the Bison Sports Arena.

North Dakota State finishes the regular season with a 13-15 record overall, 9-9 in the Summit League. The Summit League tournament pairings will be announced early next week.

Abby Plucker recorded a game-high 17 points and 16 rebounds to try to keep the Bison close. It was the 11th "double-double" of  the season for Plucker, who was one shy of matching her career best in rebounds.

However, South Dakota State (16-13, 12-6 Summit) continued its rise up the league standings, winning it's eighth game out of nine tries. The Jackrabbits shot 49.1 percent from the field overall compared to 38.5 percent for NDSU.

SDSU, which led 28-22 at halftime, saw the lead cut to four on a Janae Burich basket to open the second period. Burich finished with 16 points and three blocked shots.

The Bison wouldn't score again for three minutes and were held to 10 points over the first eight. By that time, the Jackrabbits built a 46-32 lead.

Rotert led a group of three SDSU players in double-figure scoring. Macie Michelson had 13 points and six assists, and Jill Young hit 3 of 5 three-pointers in netting 13 points.

NDSU held a 34-33 rebounding edge, but committed 14 turnovers that led to 13 points for the Jackrabbits.
