Minnesota (21-20) got a strikeout from Billy Soule to end the game with the tying run on deck.

Trailing 2-0 after three innings, NDSU tied the game in the fourth.  Nic Obey and Nick Colwell hit back-to-back two-out doubles to cut the deficit in half, and Tanner Adam followed with a first-pitch single to make it 2-2.

The Gophers went up 5-2 in the fifth when Gominsky grounded out to score a run, Olinger got his second RBI hit, and Kyle Geason lined a sac fly to center field.
