Box Score FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State men's basketball team limited Mayville State to 30.8 percent shooting on Saturday, Nov. 17 in a 73-40 victory over the Comets at the Bison Sports Arena.
North Dakota State (2-1) shot at a 51-percent clip for the contest, draining 25-of-49 field goal attempts.
Junior Taylor Braun led the Bison with 16 points and six rebounds. Redshirt freshman forward Chris Kading and junior guard Mike Felt each chipped in 15 points for NDSU.
Mayville State senior Steven Ivory, Jr. led all scorers with 20 points.
The Bison forced 20 Mayville State turnovers and posted a 38-12 scoring advantage in the paint.
NDSU built a 33-20 halftime lead behind 10 points from Braun in the game's first 20 minutes. The Bison used a 28-9 run to stretch their lead to 32 at 61-29 with 6:39 to play.
The Bison will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for three games as part of the Progressive Legends Classic from Nov. 19-21. NDSU opens against Youngstown State at 3:30 p.m. (CT) on Monday, Nov. 19.
